SEVEN SPRINGS:

The Seven Springs which is popularly referred to as the Epta Piges is easily considered to be one of the most romantic sights on the island of Rhodes. It is ideally located between Colymbia and Archipolis. The entire area has tranquility written all over and is replete with verdant woodlands.
The access to the lake is really popular with visitors and a tremendous experience. The combination of crystal-clear waters with pine and plate trees creates a peaceful scenery, offering the visitor relaxing moments. To get to the lake you have to walk through a very narrow dark tunnel 186 m long. The tunnel, constructed back in 1931, leads the water of the seven springs and river Loutanis to the lake. Almost at the middle its length, there is a well used as an air-shaft. Walking through the dark tunnel with your feet in the running water, is an eerie yet exciting and unforgettable experience that can be particularly refreshing.
If you don’t fancy the trip through the tunnel, then you can simply follow a walking path to the lake.
It is the only place in Rhodes where visitors can enjoy a swim in fresh water. Surrounding the springs are beautiful cool pine trees and rich vegetation. There are many little rustic bridges and rivers, numerous footpaths and the area is known for the geese, ducks and peacocks wandering through the woods.

BUTTERFLY VALLEY:
Only 10 km from the airport and 25 km from the City of Rhodes, you can visit the famous Valley of the Butterflies. This is a habitat with dense flora, breathtaking natural beauty, harmonious structures of bridges with the environment, paved paths, ponds, small inexhaustible waterfalls, serene atmosphere and a unique experience for the visitors.
The only sound the visitors can hear there is the chirping of the cicadas and the murmuring of the cool water. An excellent place for families with children who wish to enjoy the beauties of nature and examine the life cycle of butterflies as part of their summer holiday.

You will have 2 hours of free time at the Butterfly Panaxia Quatripunktaria butteflies, stroll rustic paths weaving along the Pelekanos river, and take photos next to waterfalls & wooden bridges.
Visit a little museum of Natural History or hike to the very top of the Valley for some great Panoramic Views next to the Kleopatra Monastery. Then have the opportunity to drive through scenic countryside to the East Coast into the Valley of Seven Springs to have 2 more hours of free time to explore the Valley enjoying the greenery and the lovely climate ,have a nice rest in the open air café-restaurant overlooking the springs, or have a walk through a unique narrow tunnel to reach an artificial lake with an impressive dam & a waterfall.
